The National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS), within the National Institutes of Health, will hold a meeting titled "Addressing the Opioid Crisis Through Translational Science."
Hosted by the Center for Leading Innovation and Collaboration, which is supported by NCATS through its Clinical and Translational Science Awards Program, this meeting will bring together researchers, clinicians, policymakers, public health professionals, health care innovators, opinion leaders and others to discuss and develop innovative approaches to address the opioid crisis through translational science. This “un-meeting” will not have a traditional meeting structure; rather, the participants will create and drive the agenda and discussions. The event will foster new collaborative teams and networks to generate ideas that can advance research to reduce the misuse and abuse of opioids, while exploring innovative approaches to improve outcomes for those affected by this epidemic.
Members of the public may attend in person. More information is available at the NCATS website.
