The National Cancer Institute (NCI) within the National Institutes of Health (NIH) will hold the 10th Joint Meeting between the Board of Scientific Advisors (BSA) and the National Cancer Advisory Board (NCAB).
The BSA provides scientific advice on a wide variety of matters concerning scientific program policy, progress and future direction of the NCI's extramural research programs, and concept review of extramural program initiatives.
The NCAB recommends to NCI the acceptance of conditional gifts, which support research, training, health information dissemination, and other programs with respect to the cause, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of cancer. NCAB may also review applications for grants and cooperative agreements for research and training and recommend approval of applications for projects which show promise of making valuable contributions to human knowledge.
More information is available via the NCI website.
