The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) within the National Institutes of Health (NIH) will hold the 188th Meeting of the National Advisory Allergy and Infectious Diseases Council. The Council plays four key roles: performing second-level review; advising the NIAID on policy; reviewing programs; and developing and clearing concepts for program announcements, request for applications, request for proposals, and broad agency announcements. Policy is usually discussed by the full Council. NIAID often seeks the Council's advice before changing policies for training, health information dissemination, administration, budget, and other areas.The
