The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) within the National Institutes of Health (NIH) will hold the 189th Meeting of the National Advisory Allergy and Infectious Diseases Council. The Council embodies a diverse perspective on science, health, and the human impact of disease. Its scientists contribute technical expertise and an understanding of the needs of the research communities of academia and industry. The Council performs second-level review; advises NIAID on policy; reviews programs; and develops and clears concepts for program announcements, request for applications, request for proposals, and broad agency announcements.
