EPA to keep pursuing biofuel changes under new leadership

Reuters – The Environmental Protection Agency’s acting administrator said he would follow up the work of his predecessor to overhaul the nation’s biofuel policy, including pursuing changes strongly opposed by the powerful corn lobby like counting ethanol exports toward annual biofuels quotas.

FERC Mandates Reporting of Attempted Cybersecurity Breaches

Power – The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) has ordered the North American Electric Reliability Corp. to broaden its Critical Infrastructure Protection reliability standards to include mandatory reporting of cybersecurity incidents that could harm the bulk electric system.
